Your First Visit

New patients are warmly welcomed to our Fairbanks chiropractic office.

Your first visit will consist of being greeted by Natalia or Allison, our front desk receptionist and billing manager for this office. You will be handed a "new patient packet" which will take between 5 and 10 minutes to fill out, depending on how much information you have for us.

You will then be greeted by myself or escorted to a treatment room where I will introduce myself if I have not already done so. I will have a short interview with you where you will be able to tell me all about the problems that you are experiencing, how long you have been experiencing them as well as possible causes related to these problems.

I will perform and examination of the areas of complaint and discuss with you the results. This will also be the time that you will have to ask any questions about me, the clinic, or chiropractic care in general. depending on the severity of your condition and the results of the examination, you may or may not receive your first adjustment that visit.

Sometimes I will require some additional time to compile the notes and results of the examination as well as the x-rays( if necessary), and plan a course of action.

I will then schedule to come back the next day, or later the same day for a "report of findings". This is where we sit down and discuss together the results of the tests and x-rays and set out a plan of action to first get you out of pain, and then second, to keep you out of pain. This entire first visit is usually between 20 and 40 minutes. Loose clothing is always best, and we have gowns for those that may be wearing compromising attire.

On your way out, Natalia or Allison will consult with you regarding your insurance benefits if you are insured for care, and you will be expected to pay your co-pay at the time of service. If you are a cash patient, we offer a 10% discount for services if you pay at the time of service and we do not have to extend credit for services rendered.

Natalia or Allison will then schedule your next visit as per the treatment plan we will have discussed.

Dr. Todd Asks some important questions of interest to Fairbanks residents - Chiropractor Fairbanks Dr. Todd Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
Can chiropractic relieve PMS?
If you have subluxations, especially in the lower spine that impair nerves that direct and monitor the reproductive and hormonal systems, chiropractic could be helpful. Undetected subluxations may also be responsible for pelvic pain, incontinence, sexual dysfunction and even infertility. Maybe chiropractic can help. Find out!
